The Shiley Flexible Tracheostomy Tubes feature an anatomical design and softer materials than previous models for easier placement, promoting a better fit and comfort level for the patient. The trach tube's clear flange looks noticeably different. It enhances viewing during insertion to guide the tube into place. The beveled tip was updated to make the flexible trach tube easier to place with reduced insertion force. The flange is recessed to comfortably conform around the stoma site with air holes to improve airflow and minimize skin contact to reduce the risk of skin breakdown and irritation.
